Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Text entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool so it can process the request and return its own results. This site does not retain or log the search terms entered by visitors.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If an email is sent to us, we retain the message for the purpose of responding. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like most websites, the service records technical visit data for operation and security, including:
- the IP address associated with a device;
- browser, version, device type, and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on each page;
- the referring site, when one is supplied; and
- timestamps connected to page requests.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help measure traffic patterns and site performance. Aggregated analytics can show which pages are used and where visitors leave. A visitor may block cookies through browser settings, although some features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Technical and message information may be used for ordinary site operations, including:
- keeping pages available and responsive;
- passing a submitted search to the relevant partner service;
- understanding which reference pages need improvement;
- diagnosing reliability or security problems; and
- displaying advertising that may be interest-based.
No Court-Record Data on File
Dunklin County Court Docket does not host, keep, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case records. It publishes general directions for official sources such as Missouri Case.net and the Dunklin County Circuit Clerk. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside providers operate the search boxes on this site. Information entered in those boxes is handled under the provider’s own privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing choices. We do not control those practices. Review the provider’s terms before submitting information.
Links to Other Websites
Links can take a visitor to court, clerk, state, or search-provider websites. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s policy governs that visit. Advertising partners can also use their own systems to track activity across sites for targeted advertising.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Depending on the interaction, limited information can be processed by:
- search partners that receive a submitted query;
- analytics providers used to measure traffic and performance;
- ad networks serving content on the pages; and
- government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal order.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational practices are used to protect the information we collect. Internet systems cannot promise perfect security, so no assurance can be made that an unauthorized access event will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If a minor is believed to have provided information, contact us and the information will be removed when appropriate.
Your Data Rights
State privacy and consumer-protection laws can provide additional rights. Missouri’s Sunshine Law, Chapter 610 addresses governmental records, while judicial case access is governed by the Missouri court operating rules, including the court’s public-access structure and electronic-record controls. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may request:
- a copy of personal information held about that visitor;
- correction of inaccurate information;
- deletion of applicable information; or
- an opt-out from certain processing where law permits.
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy as the site or applicable requirements change. The revised policy will be posted here with an updated effective date.
